Best Printers

Choose iColor printers for great t-shirts

Is your primary business designing and printing t-shirts? Or, does your small business seek to make extra money by selling t-shirts with your logo on it? Either way, you’ll need an affordable, high quality printer that can create attractive images that will help you get the most out of your investment.

There are two printers you may wish to consider: the UniNet iColor 500 Digital Color and White Transfer Media Printer, and the iColor 600 Transfer Printer. Both are excellent examples of low cost digital technology that stand out from the competition, and can help you do the same.

Here are the differences you should know:

iColor 500
This printer comes equipped with 4-5 toner and drum cartridges for color and black printing in light-colored shirts, as well as a florescent white printing kit.

Is your primary business designing and printing t-shirts?

This printer makes it easy to produce custom orders, as well as short or mid-run lines. No special software is required – all you have to do is install the drivers that come with your printer.

From there, it is quick and easy to print out the latest design you have created and apply it to a t-shirt, using heat. In addition, using the florescent kit allows for the creation of colors that glow under black lights – great for a night out at the club! Both cyan and magenta packs are available.

You also have the option of adding the iColor Transfer RIP software, which is unique in that it can print white under or over color in a single pass. The iColor 500 is the only printer with this capability.

iColor 600
This printer is fully color-capable and has white overprint and underprint abilities as well. Thanks to LED technology and low temperature fusing, it can print on a wide variety of media in larger sizes than the iColor 500. This includes cotton, polyester and blended garments, as well as wood, ceramic and mouse pads.
