Epson TM-C7500 unveiled at Label Expo 2014

Last week, representatives from Durafast traveled to Chicago for the largest label industry trade show, Label Expo Americas. There, we had the opportunity to examine an exciting new addition to Epson’s line of quality products, the Epson TM-C7500. 

The Epson TM-C7500 boasts several key new features that distinguish it from the competition. The Epson TM-C7500 is the fastest label printer released by Epson for the desktop user and is now the fastest in the market, meaning organizations can significantly improve productivity, with the capability to print up to 12 inches per second in full color. 

The Epson TM-C7500 can also help organizations reduce overhead costs, with the PrecisionCore™ print chip technology and Just In Time Color™ (JITC) Labeling. According to Epson, this model can  save up to 50 percent in total labeling costs through greater efficiency and productivity.

“Whether it’s chemical compliance or private labeling of hardware goods, manufacturers everywhere are facing new labeling challenges and rising costs,” Andy Scherz, Senior Product Manager at Epson wrote in a press release. “The integration of PrecisionCore™ technology into our new ColorWorks printer will deliver improved performance, productivity and cost savings to a wider group of manufacturers facing these issues.”

The TM-C7500 will ship with both Windows and ZPL drivers, allowing large industrial installations currently using Zebra thermal printers to just replace this printer and be able to print now in color, without any additional cost to their infrastructure.

Epson’s latest offering can also print labels roll to roll, up to 4 inches wide, and includes an internal unwinder that can hold labels up to 8 inches outside diameter. Users can also employ an external unwinder behind the printer which can support even larger rolls.
