How Canada / USA Exchange Rates Affect our Pricing

DuraFast Label Company serves customers in USA and Canada, which subjects us to occasional issues when exchange rates fluctuate. The coronavirus crisis is dramatically effecting both economies. The Canadian dollar has dropped, making it more expensive for Canadians to purchase goods from USA. As an example, before the coronavirus situation occurred, the exchange rate was about 1.34 when converting US dollar into Canadian dollars. Currently, it’s been ranging between 1.40 and 1.45.

For our Canadian customers, we have had to increase our prices on items imported from USA including the top 3 Colour label printers from manufacturers like Primera Technology, Epson, Zebra, Afinia Label, and more as well as ink and toner cartridges, supplies, and accessories.

Pricing for USA customers is not currently affected by these exchange rate changes as we have local operations within the United States.
